 Feast of the Holy Family!

The Sisters attended the 8.00am mass at Holy Name parish. It is the day of Recollection with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament for the preparation of the Delegation Chapter Assembly which will start the following day. 

Another memorable event of the Delegation is the Handing over of the newly printed Rule of Life by the Delegate Sr. Marykutty, during Vespers time.

 Monday, December 27, 2021

9.30 am, opening prayer and the Enthronization of the Word of God.

9.45, Declaration of the opening of the 2^nd Session of the Delegation Chapter Assembly by the Delegate, Sr. Marykutty Vellaplamuriyil.

10.40, Sharing the experience and dynamics of the General Chapter     and explaining how the Final Document was drawn up.

Presentation of the work to be done and indications.

Then the work in Assembly of the PRIORITY 1.

Our daily schedule starts with a silent Adoration at 6.45 am, followed by Lauds at 7.15 am. then we go to our parish “Holy Name Church” for mass at 8.00am. The Assembly today started at 9.30 am with the invocation to the Holy Spirit. In the morning we worked in Assembly on Priority 2 and in the second part of the afternoon, we started the work on Priority 3. We ended the day in Thanksgiving to God with the prayer of Vespers.

Our day started in adoration, praising and thanking the Lord for the wondrous gifts He has bestowed upon each one of us during these days of our Assembly. After Lauds, we proceeded to Holy Name Church for the Eucharistic celebration.

At. 9.30 am. after Breakfast, we continued our work in the morning on Priority 4, invoking the presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst, then with a 10 minutes of interval we continued to work in Assembly till lunchtime at 1.15pm.

In the afternoon we worked and finished Priority 5. During the intervals we watched the short videos of Cameroon and Brazil. We finished the work at 7.00pm, followed by Vespers and supper. We were supposed to have “Zoom Meeting” with the LASA members at 7.45pm. but we failed due to some unforeseen circumstances.

The fourth day of the Chapter Assembly, commenced like the other previous days with Adoration, Lauds Mass and Breakfast respectively.

At exactly 9.30 am. we started the Assembly invoking the presence of the Holy Spirit. We have already done the five priorities identifying Choices, Initiatives and Paths for our Delegation. What is left is to come out with the Introduction. We worked till 12.15

At 3.00pm, we started to work on our Local Statutes till 6.15pm. Then we went directly to the chapel for our Vespers followed by supper.

Friday, December 31, 2021

Due to the different time of mass, this day began a little bit different. The day began with celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 6.30am. then the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament for silent Eucharistic Adoration followed by Lauds then Breakfast. The morning session which was dedicated to voting of the five priorities, Local Statutes and our Particular Issues began at 8.45am with opening prayer for the day and invocation to the Holy Spirit.

The morning session ended at 1.05pm.

In the afternoon session started at 3.00pm with all the Chapter members present. The president of the Chapter gave her closing remarks with the opening words “Give thanks to the Lord for He is Good. Then expressed her gratitude to the active participation, enthusiasm, and willingness of each sister to journey with the Church bringing Hope and Joy to the world today. At exactly 3.10pm. the Delegate Superior, president of the Chapter Assembly, Sr. Marykutty Vellaplamuriyil, declared the 2^nd Session of the 6^th Delegation Chapter Assembly closed in the name of the Most Holy Trinity: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
