4th Day

Do you know how we spend a day of the XXXIV General Chapter?

We start every day in the presence of the Eucharistic Jesus, through personal Adoration, entrusting to the Lord our Chapter. We implore Him to help us open our heart and mind so that we can be guided by His Spirit. With the Lauds and the Holy Mass we are united with the Church, with our Religious Family and with the universal family at large, particularly the families of LASA.

Strengthened by the Eucharist and His Word, we continue around another table…the moment for breakfast. It is a time of fraternity and sharing.

As in a family the house is tidied up, so we too dedicate ourselves to taking care of the environment in which we are living these days.

Even the time for tea break and the lunch are joyful moments to re-charge us physically and spiritually with joy and enthusiasm.

Today’s session began with a prayer prepared by the Novices of Bolarum, Central India. This is a beautiful initiative that makes us feel close to our younger Sisters. The animation of Fr. Paul has been also a beautiful and enriching experience.  With great simplicity introduced to us the methodology and means in order to deepen the theme of the XXXIV General Chapter.

He explained the context, process and content, through the research method “Appreciative Inquiry” where we can re-discover that which motivates the congregation, the communities and the person.

We were invited to DISCOVER what motivates us to PLAN and TO RENEW that which makes life better.

Today we were asked to dream …Dream for our Religious Family, the Church and the World. We had a spontaneous sharing all through the afternoon, where we expressed our insights, sentiments and dreams. Many sisters recalled their initial attraction to the SSA, and were grateful to the Sisters who welcomed and accompanied them as they journeyed the initial steps of religious life. They were very beautiful examples of how the Sisters of Saint Anne embodied the family spirit.

LASA Group of Brazil together with the Sisters prayed for the General Chapter, offered adoration and the Holy Rosary.
