8th Day
On this feast day of our Lady of Sorrows – one that is significant to our Religious Family – the Capitulars dedicated the day for the LASA. We started the day with the prayer prepared by the LASA International Coordinator: Mr. Ottavio and her wife Mrs. Maricela.
Sr. Fatima served as facilitator of the day. Each Superior/representative of the Delegations and Provinces read before the assembly the reports drawn up by their respective LASA groups prepared last year: narrating its foundation, its journey up to the present and the their proposals to the 34th General Chapter regarding their life as lay group of the Institute. It has been an enriching experience to listen to those proposals which the Chapter will take into consideration.
This space of listening, silence, attention pushes us to thank God for his preference for having these groups who want to live our Charism, spirituality and Mission.
Our LASA Family is a gift and at the same time a responsibility for our Religious Family.
At 2:00, we were gathered for a virtual international meeting with LASA via zoom.
It is the first time that the laity have participated and made their voices heard in one of our General Chapters.
Mother Francesca gave a joyful welcome to all, after which a Prayer was raised together, and then we gladly watched a music video “Welcome to the Family” showing the meaningful images of fraternity as well as the photos of the members of the General Chapter.
Then each representative of the LASA from the different delegation and provinces shared their responses the guide question suggested to them: From your experience, what are the exigencies of the families today, what are your expectations of the service of the Sisters of St. Ann?”
“What are your dreams for the LASA group?
It was indeed a marvelous day! Our founders must have been really happy to know that their children are increasing in number and that they all want to be faithful to and fruitful in the Charism that they have received from them.
