9^th Day

The prayer prepared by the aspirants in the Philippines led the Capitulars to the chapter work of this day. Today the work began at 8.30 in the assembly to hear the indications on the last phase of the text to be elaborated. All the commissions worked with the same method,  defining better the draft of the beliefs from which the action plans and strategies were born.

The task in the assembly was therefore that of examining and re-elaborating together the work of the commissions.

The day ended with a great gift that the Lord wanted to give us in this 175^th year of the Approval of the Institute and the first Constitutions. We had the celebration of the Eucharist at 7.00 p.m. celebrated by Father Pier Luigi Nava, of the Congregation of the Company of Mary (Monfortian), who accompanied us in the process of re-writing the Rule of Life since 2001. Mother Francesca, in thanking him, affirmed that the his presence was very significant because he was a friend, paternal and ecclesial more than ever, since from 2018 he was appointed as Under-Secretary of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life.

After the homily, in which Father Nava explained the meaning of the Rule of Life in a very significant way, he blessed the texts of our Rule of Life printed in various languages. They were delivered to the Mother Generals present (Mother Fransceschina, Mother Ernestine and Mother Francesca) who in turn distributed them to all the Sisters present.

This gesture was very significant because with Mother Franceschina, the process of rewriting the Constitutions began, during the term of office of Mother Ernestine the Constitutions were approved by the Holy See and Mother Francesca promulgated the Directory and had the entire Rule of Life printed.

Now, that in the Church, through their hands the Rule has come to our hands, it is up to us to keep it in our hearts and live it every day to make our Charism shine on everyone.
