Month of March dedicated to St. Joseph

“An artist sent me a picture of the flight into Egypt in which St. Joseph is not as calm as we are used to seeing him in other pictures, but he has the features of a Syrian refugee, with a child on his shoulders: depicting pain, without lessening the drama for the Child Jesus when he had to flee to Egypt. That is what is happening today”. – Pope Francis

We entrust to the intercession of St. Joseph all the families who are going through situations of particular difficulty.

O God who entrusted to St. Joseph the task of protecting Mary, Jesus and the whole
Church, ensure that I too know how to conform myself to Your will with discretion,
humility and silence and with total fidelity even when I do not understand.

Help me to know how to listen to Your voice, how to read events, let me be guided
by Your will and know how to make the wisest decisions.

Help me to know how to correspond to my Christian vocation with availability, with
readiness, to cherish Christ in my life, in the life of others and in creation.

Help me, so that accompanied by Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I may know how to care
for those persons I live with, with constant attention to You,
to your signs and to your designs.

Let me, with love, to know how to look after every person, starting with my family,
especially the children, the elderly and those who are more fragile.

Help me to live friendships with sincerity, as mutual safeguarding in confidence,
respect and goodness.

Help me to take care of myself, remembering that hatred, envy and pride defile life.
Let me be vigilant over my feelings, over my heart, from where good and bad
intentions emerge: those that build and those that destroy. May I never be afraid of
goodness and even of tenderness! I trust in you. AMEN
