A warm welcome to the Heart of our Family
Mother extended her warm welcome to the Sisters Participants coming from India, USA, Cameroon and the Generalate Community, saying, ‘welcome to your house’ and encouraged the gathering to move on a pilgrimage.
She concluded her address saying, “here we are, after 4 years! Dearest Sisters, it is not a dream, but reality: now have the grace of knowing and touching the centre and origin of our Congregation and of the Christian experience.”
Opening prayer: The Seminar was inaugurated with an opening prayer, lighting the oil lamp, asking Jesus Christ, the Word, to be the light on the path and to be our vision on our pilgrimage.
Keynote address: In her keynote address, Mother Francesca Sacrcià introduced the theme of the Seminar – ‘As pilgrims in Hope towards our Home’, its significance and the purpose of the International Seminar. Underlining the purpose of the event, she emphasized, saying, ‘You have the responsibility not only to cherish in your heart, but also to narrate and pass on to others what you will receive.’
Concluding her address, she invited Sisters to experience God’s presence, His Grace and Mercy while visiting the sacred places and to pray for some intentions during the pilgrimage.
Significance of Symbol
Big House: is our Home; Cross: is Christ who is its centre. Through the instrumentality of our Founders and Bl. M. Enrichetta our Home is enlarged and is rooted in Hope. The Anchor is our hope in Christ.
Footprints: are ours, the pilgrims, the Sister-participants! We journey together towards our Home from different directions with varied experiences to renew and relive the sources of our ‘one Big Family’.
