Closing Day
This morning’s Lauds began with an invitation to pray for the repose of the soul of Sr. Enid Joseph, from the Province of South India, who reached the Father’s House, tonight. The Sister was a shining example of love for the Lord and attachment to the Institute with her hardworking and generous life.
The celebration of Lauds was also an occasion of thanksgiving to the outgoing General Council, whose members placed a lamp for each on the altar as a sign of gratitude to the Lord for having kept them in these last seven years.
At the moment of the intercession, however, the new General Council presented to the Lord, the Final Document of the Chapter, invoking blessings and fidelity to put it into practice.
At 9.30 the last meeting in the Chapter Hall began, for the closing of the Chapter. The Mother addressed the Chapter members with a touching speech, saying: “… great was the joy of being together as a family. Our Chapter was a multicultural training. The experience we live will mark the way. The Chapter continue in our daily life! “
