Our Religious Family rejoices

with the starting of a new LASA group in the Delegation Cameroon.

They are friends belonging to the local  community of Tobin.

May the Lord bless them!

Testimonies

So far in Cameroon there are two groups of LASA, in Bamenda and Limbe. The Sisters see the positive aspect of this experience and want to expand the same in other dioceses where they are present, but this requires coordination and even much time to dedicate. The following article was written by Sophie and Hilary Ojugo. We present ourselves: “I am Sophie, a Cameroonian and work as a seamstress, my husband Hilary, a Nigerian, works as aluminum and glass technician. We’ve been married 20 years and we have five children of 19, 15, 13, 10 and 5 years of age. We are the presidents of the LASA group of Limbe. We got in touch with the LASA Group on October 26, 2013, Feast of Divine Providence. We were invited to a meeting with the Sisters of St. Ann of Limbe and there they presented to us the LASA Group.

Since then we have become pioneer members of LASA Group of Limbe in Cameroon. Our experience: With the membership of this association, our Christian life has become more concrete. Now we can protect our faith, carrying out works of charity and evangelization. Following in the footsteps of our Founders Carlo and Giulia of Barolo, our married life and spiritual life have grown a lot. The Founders have given us great courage so that, even as a couple, we can strive for holiness. We were very much impressed by their spirit of humility, love for God and so many other things. Our main mission:

* We want to educate and assist the youth in our society, especially the less privileged;

* We are also committed to evangelization in non-Catholic schools;

* We take care of young children every Sunday during the Sunday schools;

* We follow and encourage the young people around us, so that they are able to live a happy married life following the conjugal spirituality of our Founders;

* We pray for vocations in the Church and in particular for the Sisters of St. Ann;

* We also pray that the Founders and Co-foundress Mother Enrichetta be elevated to the altars. Our perspectives:

On mission Sunday, the anniversary of our blessing and commissioning in the Parish church, we will give a report of this past year, of the fruits of our apostolate and life with the Sisters. We will open the doors for those who may be interested in joining us and begin formation.

Secondly, to celebrate the Jubilee Year of Mercy and the 30th Anniversary of the existence of the Sisters in Cameroon, we will be visiting the seat of the Delegation in Bamenda, meet the LASA in Bamenda and together have a spiritual encounter at the Divine Mercy center.

Finally, we will make ourselves true instruments of God’s Providence to the little ones by beginning a local adoption fund in favor of the education of underprivileged children.
